Information For Pupils - After School Clubs
 
The school offers many extra curricular activities to provide pupils with new experiences and opportunities or to provide extra support with their schoolwork or homework.
 
Llangatwg has a dedicated 5x60 Officer who organises a huge range of lunchtime and after school activities. In addition, the PE Department run a wide range of lunchtime and after school clubs such as fitness, weights, basketball, netball, hockey, soccer and rugby for both boys and girls, athletics, cricket and rounders.

The Music Department also hold regular lunchtime rehearsal sessions for the various school choirs and instrumental groups, particularly in the run up to a public performance.
 
In addition, each year the school prepares Key Stage 4 pupils for both bronze and silver Duke of Edinburgh awards.

A Homework / Catch Up Club open to all pupils is held in the Library every lunchtime with members of staff on hand to help pupils do their homework or to catch up
work missed through absence.
 
Extra help and revision clubs for pupils in Year 11 are also available in various subjects on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings when a late bus is available to take pupils home.
 
As well as school-based activities, pupils are offered many other opportunities such as outdoor pursuits activities, residential courses, visits to the theatre and visits abroad.
